Character Profile

Birthday: January 9
Zodiac: Capricorn

Iku Sutou is a first year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 1-3, a member of the school’s baseball club, and Aijou Rentarou’s 9th girlfriend.

Iku is the only remaining member of the Girls’ Baseball Team. The team used to be full until the other eight members decided to study baseball in America and left Iku behind. She continued to hold her place in the club until it was on the verge of disbandment, at which point she began tirelessly recruiting new members, to no avail.

Iku is also wildly masochistic, going so far as to train for hours until her body is in agony so she can enjoy the pain.

Despite her masochism, Iku has a high tolerance for pain. Iku is capable of training for hours on end, even going so far as to train all night long until school begins the next day. She’s able to do bat swings over 101,000 times without collapsing.

Name/Birthday Pun Explanation:

Iku’s full name is similar to the Japanese pronunciation for the word “stoic” (sutoikku), referring to the fact that she has a high threshold for pain.

Iku’s birthday is on January 9th. This is a Goroawase (wordplay) on her name I(1)ku(9).
